CCJR Members and Friends:
I hope you can come to a public hearing this Friday, April 26, on 100 pages of proposed administrative rules by the Department of Corrections. Citizens for Criminal Justice Reform has worked for the last five years to bring about this meeting before the Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules.
I'm currently writing testimony for the committee lawyers to pass along to the senators and reps before their meeting. It starts at 9 a.m. in Room 306 on the third floor of the Legislative Office Building across the street from the Golden Dome. The public hearing should end before noon, and maybe a lot sooner.
If some of you wish to speak, please keep your remarks very brief and address the issues you see in my testimony. I should be able to get it to you by Wednesday. A showing by CCJR folks would be important. We got nine people for a similar forum last spring.
Please let me know if you can come or with any questions. cldornin@aol.com
